Star-crossed Lovers

 By Steven Masone

Venus with her Jupiter are found on warm summers night,
dancing round
                   and round -laughing,
                                  touching... their joy... shining bright

Jupiter beckoning Venus with tender will…Venus sweetly sings, she moves to the rhythm they alone know is theirs, it’s been so long since their last embrace... she falls into his arms, with a passion that trembles... he holds her- face to face

Closer and closer, come they together once more, celestial lights cry out with heavenly wonder, the two become one over and over, quietly an angel shuts the door

another moment ...  a kiss in the empty sky, all

the worlds are watching,

                    nothing else in sight.

A galaxy sings in exhalation for

two lovers in this heavenly expanse,

their tryst is almost over again, as they exhale a single breath...
they are only lonely orbs without the gift of life and death

So for us they dance, they dance for our love, they tell us our love is fragile, not to be left with fate, but to hold each other, never letting go...before its too late.
